Panda & Friends Volunteer Monthly Feature Poster | Issue 10 | June 2026

🐼 Panda & Friends | Volunteer Feature Poster · June 2026 is here!

The June breeze brings the scent of early summer, with leaves growing lush and sunlight shining bright. In this vibrant season, volunteers from the Panda Group continue to stand by everyone, patiently listening to every emotion, sincerely responding to every request for help, and quietly delivering warmth to those who need it most.

You are like a gentle breeze under the summer shade, bringing comfort and peace when we are weary; like faint stars in the night sky, perhaps not dazzling, but always guiding the way forward. Every shared experience, every word of encouragement, and every quiet moment of companionship adds courage for our fellow travelers on the cancer journey.

This June, we want to send our deepest gratitude to you, who have been quietly giving so much. Because of you, everyone knows they are not facing the storm alone. Because of you, hope is caught time and again, and strength is passed on bit by bit. In our time together, we witness the possibilities of resilience, growth, and new beginnings.

Joan: Administrator of the Low Anterior Resection Group, affectionately known as Sister Zhong. A science communication expert, she not only answers questions diligently but has also "mentored" generations of new volunteers. Many members join the group in a panic, but gradually find their footing through Sister Zhong's guidance and companionship. Outside the group, she loves movies and has recently immersed herself in the world of phalaenopsis orchids, studying their care with the same patience and meticulousness she shows in the group.

Hhuim: Known to everyone as "Teacher Xiao Huang," administrator of Group 32. As a healthcare professional herself, she is a "naturally gifted Q&A volunteer." Even during her own treatment, she never stopped helping others, navigating her own challenges while answering questions, gently warming away much of the anxiety and fear. She enjoys binge-watching shows and is a regular in the gossip discussion area, seamlessly switching between discussing treatment plans and sharing the latest entertainment news.

Tiantian: Administrator of the Peritoneal Group. Having once panicked in the dark herself, she always strives to light a lamp for others. She has accompanied her mother through treatment with decisiveness and courage, while doing her utmost to help more group members. She is also the famous "perpetual motion machine" of the Peritoneal Group: as soon as a new volunteer joins, she immediately brings them into various groups to start answering questions together. Her life can be summed up as: rushing to keep going, refilling coffee, and occasionally lying flat to recharge.

Sijiqing: Administrator of the Liver Metastasis Group. When she first joined, afraid of being kicked out for lurking, she pulled three all-nighters to devour all the group materials. Now, she answers questions with ease and stability. As a patient herself, she has an astonishingly positive mindset. She cannot bear to see members overly anxious and always patiently comforts them again and again. Yet, for all her gentleness, she is no pushover in real life; she has once slammed the table with two bosses and a leader, commanding full presence.

Mumian: Volunteer for the Gastric Cancer Group. Having been caught in the rain herself, she has always earnestly held an umbrella for others. Her Q&A in the group is patient and detailed, always helping members sort out their thoughts, and she shares her own experiences unreservedly with other volunteers. Her life motto is "moderate exercise to accelerate recovery," while travel is her way to recharge: visiting new places, seeing new scenery, and bringing renewed strength back into daily life.

Ouyang Jinxing: Volunteer for the Lung Cancer Group. When his father fell ill, he dove headfirst into guidelines, research papers, and medical knowledge, essentially training himself into a "lay medical student." He frequently helps members analyze reports and explore treatment options, even answering questions at a high frequency during his honeymoon, truly embodying "mutual support." Of course, he has another widely recognized strength: he's very good at making money. I've already queued up to ask for his guidance!

Thea: Volunteer for the Lynch Syndrome Group. Knowing well that Lynch syndrome is a "marathon" requiring long-term management, she consistently and earnestly accompanies and assists more Lynch families. She enjoys playing tennis, attending concerts, and is an amateur film blogger, seamlessly switching between her real life and her role in the group. Gentle and steady, she always gives people a reassuring sense that "things can be handled step by step."

Huibulaji: Administrator of the Liver Metastasis Group, a journalist with 20 years of experience. He constantly jumps between "deadlines" and "breaking news," joking that he survives in the cracks every day. As a media professional, he speaks, thinks, and acts quickly, bringing a touch of sharp yet sincere insight to his Q&A in the group. A fun fact: his father was one of the developers of the Jinshuibao fermentation technology. Yes, that Jinshuibao.

Xiaoxin: Administrator of the Pancreatic Cancer Group, a pillar of the community. Not only is he devoted to his father, but he also possesses exceptional empathy, always offering just the right amount of warm support when others are at their lowest. Many members find their emotional breakdowns gently caught by him. In daily life, he's a "veteran slacker" with extremely broad interests, though he admits: he's not an expert in any. But then again, life rarely requires a perfect score in everything.
