A Glimmer Becomes a Torch, Illuminating the Path Against Cancer: A Letter of Gratitude from Pandas and Friends

2024 was a year of vibrant growth for Pandas and Friends: our community has grown to over 50,000 members across 150 groups, covering gastrointestinal, liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic cancers.

This year, we regret that more friends have joined this difficult battle against cancer. At the same time, we are deeply grateful to the growing number of professional medical teams and enthusiastic volunteers who have joined our public patient education initiatives and voluntary guidance services, ensuring that our community members never feel alone, always have direction, avoid unnecessary detours, and keep hope and light in their hearts.

Here, the Pandas and Friends charity organization extends our sincerest gratitude and highest respect to every doctor and volunteer for your hard work and selfless dedication on behalf of all our community members!

Looking Back: Pandas and Friends Are Grateful for You

Over the past year, we have organized a series of diverse and rich public patient education activities, both online and offline, aiming to raise public awareness of gastrointestinal tumors and help more patients better navigate the challenges of cancer treatment.

In these educational events, doctors have provided scientific and authoritative guidance based on their solid medical knowledge and extensive frontline clinical experience. Whether through in-depth explanations in online health lectures, patient and meticulous diagnoses in public MDT sessions, or dedicated cancer science popularization events, every activity has brought warmth and hope to patients and their families. The doctors' professional advice has not only helped patients better understand their conditions but also guided them toward the right treatment paths.

Here, we extend special thanks to the following doctors who provided public patient education for our community in 2024:

Of course, every online and offline educational event, every professional guidance and warm Q&A session in our groups, would not be possible without the hard work of our volunteers. From planning and preparation to on-site coordination and post-event summaries, every step bears the mark of their dedication. With their passion and patience, they have provided nearly comprehensive support and assistance to an increasing number of community members.

In the Pandas and Friends groups, you will always see volunteer teachers proactively communicating with members, listening to their concerns, and offering psychological comfort and encouragement. It is precisely because of their silent dedication that our charity activities run smoothly, and our guidance and Q&A services continue to bring warmth.

Looking Ahead: Pandas and Friends Wish to Move Forward Hand in Hand with You

Looking ahead, Pandas and Friends will continue to uphold our mission of "caring for cancer patients and popularizing prevention and treatment knowledge", constantly expanding the formats and content of our public patient education activities. We sincerely hope to collaborate with more professional doctors and volunteer teachers to jointly advance the cause of gastrointestinal tumor prevention and treatment.

In the new year, Pandas and Friends will gather more social resources and invite more expert doctors to participate in our charity initiatives. By hosting online and offline educational events and case-sharing sessions, we aim to foster better communication between doctors and patients. Meanwhile, we will further explore local medical resources to ensure more patients can receive timely and effective treatment closer to home.

For our volunteer team, the Pandas and Friends organization will continuously improve our training system to enhance volunteers' professional knowledge and Q&A capabilities.

Through professional training and experience-sharing sessions, we will help volunteers better understand gastrointestinal tumor-related knowledge and guidance directions, enabling them to provide timely assistance to community members as much as possible.

Additionally, we will actively expand volunteer service areas, encouraging more volunteers to participate in patient rehabilitation guidance and psychological support, providing comprehensive care and assistance to patients.
